Gender Neutral ADA Signage
What does this mean?
So, this act includes places of public accommodation, including public or privately owned sports or entertainment arenas, stadiums, convention halls, and public parks. This does exclude places such as hotels, restaurants, and schools. This is specific to single-person restrooms, also known as ‘family restrooms’.
“A simple yet powerful bill, SB 556 will provide privacy, security, and convenience to users of single-occupancy restrooms, including individuals who may need the assistance of a caregiver, people with disabilities, and parents with opposite-sex children,” said Myles Brady Davis, communications manager, and press secretary at Equality Illinois.
