What is UV Printing?

The distinguishing characteristics of UV direct printing are the special UV inks and the UV ink-curing light source. The chemical reaction caused by the intense UV light is what distinguishes this inkjet process from others. The print-head has a UV light source on either end. The light source follows the ink as it is sprayed from the jet, instantly curing the ink and causing it to adhere to the substrate. [Photo Works Group]

This process is also called UV flatbed printing or direct-to-substrate printing. This is because the final print will go directly into the substrate.

What Tools Do You Need?
